January 23-25, 2026, Maryvale Retreat Center, Valley City
While every man is called to, and if fact inherently desires, greatness, the challenge is not only finding out what that looks like for them, it is also that the goal post keeps moving. What manly greatness looks like as a young single man is different than what it is as a married man, a husband, or even an empty nester. Former Protestant pastor Keith Nester will assist men to identify what greatness God is uniquely calling them to at their own stage of life. In addition to practical real-life insights, there also will be times to meet the Lord God in prayer and the sacraments, as well opportunities for rejuvenation through real brotherhood, great food, and even some friendly competition. Check it out at www.fargodiocese.org/mfg-winter.
Life-Giving Wounds Retreat for Adult Children of Divorce and Separation
February 27-March 1, 2026, Hankinson Retreat Center
No matter the circumstances, divorce always represents broken dreams and broken hearts. While much of the attention goes to the men and women trying to navigate the tidal wave of loss and hurt, often left in the wake are the children whose sense of security and identity have also been shattered. This can be true even for those who were already adults when their parents’ relationship ended. Life-Giving Wounds is a new ministry to help adults who have experienced the breakdown of their parents’ relationship, no matter at what age it happened and to allow Christ to bring new life through those very wounds. Find out more information or register for the retreat by visiting www.fargodiocese.org/lgw.
Retrouvaille: Help for Hurting Marriages
March 13-15, 2026, Fargo, ND
Do you and your spouse have any level of disconnection in your relationship? You don’t need to wait until you’re in crisis to take time to reconnect and rediscover one another as you deepen your love and unity. Instead, you can work to build the kind of joyful, connected marriage you envisioned when you walked down the aisle.
Retrouvaille is an international, peer-run program that has helped hundreds of thousands of married couples turn the tide, find new hope, and reclaim the love that initially brought them together. Surveys have shown that more than 3 out of 4 couples who complete the entire program have healthier marriages than ever before. The Red River Retrouvaille program will be held locally on February 28-March 2, 2025 in Fargo. For more information visit HelpOurMarriage.com or contact us at (701) 356-7962 or via email at rrretrouvaille@gmail.com.
Redeemed: Restoring Your Masculine Identity in Christ
March 19-21, 2026, St. Joseph’s Church, Moorhead, MN
A man’s mission is meant to flow out of a deeply felt internal conviction of who we are and where we come from; in short, our identity. This is what fueled Jesus Christ in His ministry of redemption – He knew He was the beloved Son of the Eternal Father and out of that conviction He transformed human history. For many of us men, that conviction has faltered, and we look instead to what we can do to find our worth. When we add our sins and failures into the mix, sooner or later we find that we are standing on shifting sand.
The Redeemed Men’s Retreat presented by the John Paul II Healing Center will dive deep into our identity as beloved sons of God. It will invite Jesus Christ to restore our wounded masculinity, bringing us into the purpose, mission, power, and freedom that is ours as sons in the Son. Find out more details or signup to be notified when registration opens on December 15 by visiting www.fargodiocese.org/fm-redeemed.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we strive to be responsible witnesses to His presence among us, thus enriching the spiritual life of the community, creating a sense of obligation and passing along Christian values and traditions to our children. Habemus Papam!

Prayers for Pope Leo XIV
Rest in Peace, Pope Francis

PRAYER FOR A DECEAED POPE
God, Who, in Your ineffable providence, did with that Your servant, Pope Francis, should be numbered among the high priests, grant, we beseech You, that he, who on earth held the place of Your only-begotten Son, may be joined forevermore to the fellowship of Your holy pontiffs.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reighs with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.
We pray for the repose of Pope Francis's soul while giving thanks for the legacy he leaves behind him as the first pope from the Americas.
He strove to be a humble shepherd who led with compassion and unwavering faith. His dedication to the Gospel by always seeking to serve the poorest of the poor inspired millions, calling us to mercy, service, and deeper trust in Jesus Christ.
As we pray for his soul, let us also reflect on his legacy of hope and unity. May his words and witness continue to guide us on our journey of faith.
May the soul of Gorge Mario Bergoglio, our faithful Pope Francis, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
St. Francis, pray for us.
